About Recreational Soccer
Recreational soccer does not use tryouts, recruiting, or any kind of selection process to
choose players, all players interested in playing soccer may play.
Players for the recreational teams are selected based on player age
and experience, in an attempt to make even teams. Players are
guaranteed a minimum of one-half playing time of every soccer match.
Recreational teams roster different number of players depending on the
season, age, and field size used. Typically, recreational teams play
in an "in-house" league and all games are played at home (Jerry Lake
Soccer Complex). Only during the Winter Recreational Season, players
in the under 8 and above play half their games at "home" and the other
half at neighboring clubs. The under 6 always play in an "in-house"
league and all games are played at home.
The Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club recreational program is designed to
provide instruction and soccer competition for young players of all
skill levels and ages. Recreational soccer provides training, fitness
and fun in an environment of controlled competition. Over 500 children
participate in the Club's recreational program throughout the year.
The Club's recreational soccer activities include four seasons:
Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Adult Recreational Soccer
The Adult recreational soccer is a
non-competitive soccer league with the goal of fun and exercise in a
fun friendly environment. Started a few years ago,
Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club now offers a program of adult
recreational soccer, which has been quite popular. If you have a
desire to play the game of soccer in a fun environment but have
limited, or no soccer experience, come sign-up for our non-competitive
adult league. A new adult league season will be beginning soon. For
information on this program, check back at this site, or email:
