Former Dunedin Player Shines at UT
Former Dunedin Stirling player, Megan Tobin, in her freshman year
helped her University of Tampa soccer team win the NCAA Division II national championship over five-time
national champion Franklin Pierce College. Megan, who played at Dunedin Stirling since she was 8 years old and
won a soccer scholarship at UT, scored a penalty kick on the first NCAA Division II championship decided on penalties.

teams - all made it! A testament to the quality of players, and the
quality of training at Dunedin - all 12 players from the team who were
eligible to play soccer in high school tried out and made their school
teams (with 5 making the Varsity teams as Freshmen). Good job

The girls came from 2nd to last place last year as a new team, to

New Field Lighting:
As you may have noticed from the concrete poles lying
around the club, DSSC will be having new lighting installed over the
next few weeks. The new lighting will be a significant improvement to
the club, and will improve our ability to host night games and
practices. Please be patient while the construction takes place and
please be careful to not disturb the equipment while it is being
installed.
